SINGLEHANDED LEG NOTES

9 June 0800 - The last boat to finish, Nimros, finished at 0640 this morning.  Doug Sherar sailed since Saturday under genoa alone due to problems with his main sail slides (brand spanking new main too).

8 June 1400 - All but one boat, Nimros - Doug Shearer. has finished.  Preliminary results have been posted.

8 June 0530 - We have the following additional boats finished: OneGirl'sOceanChallenge, Panacea, Kontradiction, Strummer and USA415 (Jay finally gets  a singlehanded finish, 1 out of 3).  We are currently waiting on Windswept, Island Girl, Pogo Loco and Nimros.  The first three should finish this morning however Nimros should finish next morning.
Windswept hailed saying he is one hour from finish and Island Girl is 4-5 nm behind him.

8 June 0330 - Beau Blue finished at 3:11.  Heard conversation between two boats one of which was Panacea but could not hear Panacea well and all the time; getting close.
Kontradiction hailed saying 1hr away from finish still under main only doing about 5 kts.
OneGirl's has hailed us but not receiving us.  She has broken her choke on the motor and may need a tow in after finising.
Cordelia was towed in last night after finishing.  He stayed at the town docks for the night.
Panacea hailed, about one hr from finish. Didn't know his tracker wasn't working.  Says he heard Island Girl, who's tracker is also not working as of 2200 yesterday, talking with someone earlier.

7 June 2200 -
Tyger Tyger and Jeroboam are now finished and in the harbor.
Windswept emailed me that he tried hailing Panacea on SSB & VHF with no luck.  The wind has gone to nil by his words.  Expects to get in next morning.
Nimros called in that he broke a slide on his main so he is sailing under genoa only until morning when he will try to fix the slide on the main.

7 June 2100 - Sorry about the delay in reports.  We have been rather busy and this became a lower priority.  The following additional boats have finished not in order: Pastime (all of Class 1 finished), Adhara, Aggressive, Cordelia (now docked at the town dock), Greyhawk, Palangi (first in Class 3), Bluebird (first in Class 4) and Jeroboam approaching the finish.  It appears we have three boats with track issues; Samba's died again, Panacea's looks like it died yesterday sometime and Tyger Tyger lost theirs overboard to a wave and squall.  Jeroboam's VHF reception is poor!

7 June 1330 - Toothface and Arian has finished.

7 June 1300 - The following additional boats have : Frogger.

7 June 1244 - Windswept emailed me that he is in a convoy with Island Girl.  They are about 100nm from S.t Georges and should finish early on Wednesday. We encountered a series of nasty little rain squalls this morning which held us up for about three hours.

7 June 1100 - We have the following additional boat finishes at this time in order: Resolute , Sola Fide, Dirigo, Samba, Flying Tiger and Choucas.

7 June 0620 - Bermuda Radio called us to tell us that Resolute has something wrapped around his prop.  He will probably need to be towed in after finishing.

7 June 0233 - First boat to finish is Flying Turtle.  Brian Oatley and I went out to meet him at the finish line. Next boat is about 3-4 hrs behind.

7 June 0030 - Tyger Tyger reports that she has lost her tracker device during a squall uncontrolled jibe.  She is doing fine though.  She is at 34 22.27N 65 44.7W.

6 June 1930 - Doug Shearer on Nimros called.  He is planning on jibing to join the rest of the fleet towards the rhumbline.  Wind blowing pretty good.
Greyhawk emailed. On SSB made contact with Panacea and could hear Windswept and Tyger Tyger. On VHF 72 I had conversation with Tyger Tyger, who is within site (we've been sailing the same track together all day), and also had a brief conversation with Cordelia, who had called me earlier in the day to report his charging troubles. I also heard broken calls from Ocean Girl, Frogger, Aggressive, and presumably Palangi. Tyger Tyger is near by.  right now 16-18 knots from the WNW; Peter shared Herb Hillgenberg's forescast with the fleet -- may be a "parking lot" for some of the class 4 finishers?

6 June 1615 - Finally heard from Windswept.  He said he just got his email working. Panacea and I are in daily contact. "No news from the rest of the fleet. I got separated the first night. I went off towards Montauck trying to find a little more breeze. As you probably can tell, I am past the halfway point and largely through the stream. It was beautiful sailing today. Herb advises that it should hold together until Wednesday. That should get both Peter and I into St. Georges."

6 June 1400 - Received and email from Dirigo.  "Another beautiful day in paradise. I had to stop being a chicken and put the chute up. Anyway, up she went after the better part of the morning contemplating the maneuver. Just had a puff to about 22 and Capt. Ron was able to recover, thank goodness! I was able to talk to Lindsay on Flying Tiger and Sola Fide this morning. Lindsay was so close that she almost blew the speaker out of my radio. She sounded good and enjoying herself. John on Sola talked about losing a spinnaker. I guess I'm not the only one."

6 June 0924 - The crew member for Cordelia (Roy (2)'s wife Gail) emailed to say that Roy (2) is having electrical problems and can't start his motor.  He still has a sat phone and VHF and he has a Monitor self steering wind vane so he is doing ok just minimizing battery use.  He is talking to other boats like Greyhawk.

6 June 0800 - Kontradiction called that he hasn't been able to contact anyone.  Still under main only, spinnaker still wrapped around the forestay.  Conditions 2-4 ft seas wind 20 kts from North and some rain.
Greyhawk emailed: Made contact with Panacea and Tyger Tyger on SSB, Cordelia tried but signal strenght was weak.  On VHF had conversations with Cordelia and One Girl.  He was able to make out Frogger.  Palangi came across as static but evidently Cordelia was able to talk to him.  Tyger Tyger is relatively near. Wind is 17 kts out of the WNW.
Choucas called also with no communications with anyone in his class.  Going fine down wind, no problems.
Frogger also called and also no contact with other Class boats.  Going well in lots of wind making 13 kts in 6 ft seas.
Flying Tiger emailed me that the night was just gorgeous and that the conditions are just great now. She spoke with Sola Fide, he said his spinnaker is now more appropriately sized for an Opti. Giant rolling waves so not surprised spinnakers are getting wrapped!

5 June 2000 - Dirigo heard no one tonight.  Doing fine, cruising along at 8kts across the stream. About 1.5 kt push by the stream. Still squirrely, broad reaching with the jib.
Flying Tiger emailed me that she spoke to only Sola Fide, nothing else.  "Beautiful day, great weather, this is easy!"
Toothface called in that all is well.  Had only one knock down, everything is working.
USA-415 actually called in, doing fine.
Kontradiction called in still sailing with main only, unable to clear spinnaker, working in 40 min spurts on it, winds 20-22kts, seas were 12ft and not 7-8ft.
Cordelia called to say he lost his wind gauge and very lumpy conditions.  Palangi is sailing wing on wing. Tyger Tyger tore spin and not sure he can repair en route. One Girl reports everything okay. Greyhawk still wrestling with auto pilot and hand steering since 1300, which Roy2 said was quite a feat.
Island Girl called in that the conditions were "snotty, 20kts wind & good seas. Coffee pot broke".
Greyhawk emailed that he is hand steering a lot but he has heard on VHF only the following: Ocean Girl, Cordilia, Tyger Tyger, Flying Tiger, also heard very faint signals from Palangi and Aggressive. Exiting the Gulf Stream, now with about 25 knots of wind from the NNW

5 June 1600 - Heard from Samba. "All is well out here. Good angle to Bermuda at the moment and heading straight for the barn!"

5 June 0800 - Actually I'm in the air on my way down to St. George's Bermuda and this is updates I received from this morning.  I arrived in Bermuda around noon Bermuda time.
Dirigo reports he is broad reaching after doing wing on wing all night.  Water temperature at 74 from 67 and he thinks he is one hour from the stream.
Samba says he had a tough night and I noticed as of 1430 EDT that his tracker is working; wonderful!
Choucas called that it has been downwind and lumpy and he had spoke with Frogger.
Ariana heard from Adhara.  Ariana said that it took him all day yesterday to recover from a spinnaker wrap including going up the rig; no more spinnaker work for him.
Cordelia (Roy(2)) says he heard from Greyhawk, Palangi, Strummer and Aggressive (via Palangi relay).  He reported Greyhawk's autopilot problems mentioned earlier; doing a lot of hand steering. Frogger is doing well; tried a couple of spinnaker sets last night and finally gave up.  OnGirl'sOceanChallenge had a bad spinnaker wrap yesterday, went around the rudder and she had to cut it away.  Lost her Nav lights last night.  Doing OK.
Kontradiction reported wind 24kts with the spinnaker completely wrapped around the jib.  Running now under main alone and trying to free the jib before the stream.
Flying Tiger emailed me that she hasn't been able to contact anyone in her class 1.  She also mentioned OneGirl's spinnaker problems.  She says that she has entered the Gulf Stream and has had dolphins leaping in formation and had a flying fish land in her lap at two am!  Great wind and waves.
Greyhawk emails that he hadn't heard from anyone on SSB.  On VHF: Heard from OceanGirl's about her spinnaker problem.  She has another spinnaker but reluctant to use since it's range is 10-15 and the wind is in the upper range.  He also heard from Flying Tiger, Tyger Tyger and Adhara.  The winds are N-NNW 12-15kts, seas generaly around 4feet but have seen a few 8's roll through.

4 June 2200 - Received email from Brian Flynn's wife.  Brian is out of radio contact but doing well.  Lost his engine going out to the start but repaired a blown hose during a quite moment and is up and running again.  Brian also had a long spinnaker take down but it doesn't top Dirigo's.
Greyhawk talked to Panacea on SSB and heard Resolute.  On VHF he talked with Adhara (with whom they have been sailing all day), Bluebird, Flying Tiger, Aggressive, and Palangi.  He heard reports from Dirigo, Sola Fide, Frogger, Tyger Tyger, and Ariana.  He said a lot of boats had trouble with their spinnakers when the N wind picked up to 18-22 around him.
Bluebird reports that Kontradiction had spinnaker problems and is sailing nicely under main alone waiting for things to calm down before he tries to resolve it.
Nimros checked in this morning for the first time.  I guess it took him that long to settle in.
Frogger heard several boats in good spirits but none from his Class 6.

4 June 2000 -  Dirigo - 24 degrees at 18 kts wind.  Broke spinnaker halyard so doing wing on wing for the night.  Heard from Sola Fide and Flying Tiger.
Flying Tiger said that she has heard from Sola Fide.  Wind on the beam from the East at 15 kts.  Most of the time up to a couple of hours ago the winds were either from the NW or SE; very anoying.
Cordelia (Roy 2) said that he has heard from Palangi, Beau Blue, Strummer and Panacea.  Strummer this morning was next to him both under spinnaker and he got some pictures.  Wind now 15kts out of the east, was 20 kts earlier.

4 June 1200 - The class breaks should be on iboatrack real soon now; I forgot to get the classes to them.  They will fix the invisible Panacea.  Not much they can do about Samba not reporting.  We are getting position reports for him and posting here.

4 June 1000 -  The class breaks are now posted.

4 June 0800 - Flying Tiger called with the following boats she contacted: Sola Fide, Samba at 39 51N 70 57W, Pastime, Resolute, Greyhawk, Dirigo, Choucas, Pogo Loco, Cordelia, Panacea, Frogger.  Upwind all night.  Winds very shifty, great sailing.  Some tried spinnaker sets but too much wind resulted in some boats having fun taking them down like Dirigo taking 3 hrs to put it away.
Cordelia also called with reports from all class 3 execept Palangi.  Winds SW 7-9 kts and reports ahead getting lighter and starting to veer.  Also talked to Dirigo, Choucas, Kontradiction, Panacea and Greyhawk. Roy(2) said that he has a goal this year to make it in time to the Swizzle Inn party.
Greyhawk emailed me that he has heard from Panacea and Resolute on SSB and Dirigo, Cordelia, and Aggressive on VHF.  He also heard talking on VHF from Strummer, Bluebird, Choukas, Kontradiction, Sola Fide, Flying Tiger, Pastime, Samba (39 51N 70 57W) and Frogger.  He sees Ariana, Adhara and Kontradiction on AIS. Tim mentioned that "It was a beautiful and interesting night. Around 9:30, the brracket that connects my autopilot to the tiller broke!"  He did jury rig something so that the autopilot is working now.
Dirigo emailed me since he was cut off.  "I was too anxious to set my chute. Once she started to rock and roll I just couldn't get ahead of her and well I spun around the pole once or twice and lost the spinnaker. It took me 3 hours to get on the road again, but had a great night of sailing, although very chilly. It was up hill all night until this morning when the wind clocked to around 320 at 10 kts. from as far forward as 180 at 15 kts. last night. It's smooth sailing now and hope that it stays this was."

3 June 2200 - Toothface called to say that he has lost all instruments but has the motor running.  He is floundering while trying to debug his problem.  He is only 50 miles offshore and isn't in any danger.  He will have to decide whether he can continue or not.

3 June 2000 - Greyhawk emailed me that he has contacted or heard the following  boats: Palangi, Pastime, Adhara, Tyger Tyger, Panacea, Windswept, Strummer, Kontradiction, Dirigo, Cordelia, Jeroboam, Sola Fide, Agressive, Pogo Loco, Frogger, Ocean Girl, Flying Tiger, USA-415. He is receiving AIS from Flying Turtle, Toothface, Sola Fide and Kontradiction.  He is sailing close hauled in 14 kts from ESE making a heading of 160 degrees at 5 kts.  Wow, amazing report.

3 June -  Bluebird says that after getting out of Narragansett Bay several boats tried spinnakers and wing on wing, some boats going east and some west.  The wind died a few hrs out of the start and finally started up from the ESE but moving.  Four boats around him.

3 June - And their off.  All 5 classes and all scheduled boats started; some later than others though.  Nimros spotted his class 4 competitors 6 minutes and two minis were over early and spotted the fleet quite a bit. But they all got off with a NW wind blowing around 20-25 kts.  No one flew their spinnakers; they were moving fast enough besides they probably had to jibe after Castle Hill. Don't forget to follow them on iboatrack.com.

22 May - Frank Bohen's last update for the Gulf Stream before the Skippers' Meeting 2 June 1400 has been posted.

9 May - Safety Check Process: Ted Singsen is the Safety Chairman and is responsible to make sure all boats go through the safety check. He can be reached at 401-846-0028 or safety@bermdua1-2.org.
New boats and new skippers have to go through the safety check process through Ted and his group. You have to contact Ted as soon as possible to schedule the safety check typically starting the day required (May 30) to be in the area for new boats/skippers. If it can be arranged earlier Ted I'm sure can accommodate you. For example if the boat is available over the weekend before the race Ted might be able to schedule a Safety Check for then. So contact Ted asap to get on his calendar. By the way this also applies to returning skippers who have a new boat.
Returning boats/skippers are allowed to have a past skipper do the safety check ahead of time however you still need to schedule it with Ted so he can keep track of the process.
In both cases the Safety Check form needs to be signed after the check is completed by both the skipper and the Safety Check person and returned to Ted so he has all the forms.

23 Apr - Frank Bohen has provided us with an update to the analysis of the Gulf Stream.  Enjoy.

16 Apr - Amendments 1 & 2 to the Notice of Race have been posted.

10 Apr - We are now up to 18 boats. The following people have stated that they expect to race in 2011: Tim Allen (on his Peterson 34), Chris Anderson, Dimitri Antoniadis, Sam Ausmus, Peter Bourke, Fran Cichowski, Fred Cosandey, Pieter de Zwart on his X442, Mike Dreese, John Drozdal, Steve Fidelio, Brian Flynn, Johnathan Green, Ben Jelic on his J/120, Eric Johnson, Patrick Jones, Lindsay Lowe (on her new boat, a Quest 33), Rick McCally, Peter McCrea, Louis Meyer, Tristan Mouligne, Christian Reimer, Ray Renaud, Jay Sharkey, Dave Sherman, Gust Stringos, Steve Tofield,.

9 Apr - Twelve people participated in the Sleep Seminar today run by Dr. Claudio Stampi.  From the people I talked to they were very happy they participated, well worth it. For those that didn't make it, you missed a good experience.

21 Mar - We are up to 13 boats now.

4 Mar - Renewal PHRF-NB 2011 certificates from 2009 and 2010 have been mailed out.

2 Mar - Frank Bohen has provided his first brief on the Gulf Stream for 2011 and he has provided a summary of places on the web for weather and Gulf Stream information.  Click on Gulf Stream Briefs on the left.

18 Feb - The 2011 PHRF-NB Certificate Form is now available on the PHRF-NB website for those that do not have an existing certificate for the boat you will race from PHRF-NB.  For those that have an existing certificate (2009 & 2010), renewals will be mailed out by early March.

10 Feb - Up coming courses/seminars:
First Aid: This is a full Red Cross training with CPR, 0900-1500 on 5 March.  There are still a few slots open if interested.  The course is $65 per person.
LRSE Hands on survival class: This class is scheduled and is a US SAILING sanctioned class which is scheduled for 6 March, the day after the Skippers' Forum/Shore Party.  Please contact LRSE directly to register for a spot in the class 401-816-5402.  The cost is $225 per person.
Sleep Seminar: This will be held 9 April by Dr. Claudio Stampi.  The class is full at the moment.

8 Feb - We will have two presenters at the 5 March.  1. Frank Bohlen will reprise his role in 2009 where he provided Gulf Stream briefings leading up to the race.  Frank will give a brief at the Skippers' Forum, provide several updates before the start, all of which will be put on the website, and Frank will give the final brief at the Skipper's meeting on 2 June. 2.  John Fulweiler was at the March 2010 Skippers' Forum and we asked him back for this meeting.  John provided the following input: "Offshore racing is a challenge. However, knowing something about the kinds of circumstances you may encounter whether it's bad weather or sickness is invaluable preparation for the voyage ahead.  Do I sign a salvage contract? Is a salvor entitled to take my boat from me as a salvage award?  Must I reimburse the government agency that rescues me?  Does the law require I give aid to a vessel in distress?  Can a vessel's master perform a marriage ceremony?  These and other issues will be unfolded in a brief, but interesting dialogue with maritime lawyer John K. Fulweiler."  John will also answer any marine law questions.

6 Feb - The 2011 March Newsletter has been posted.

27 Jan - Mark A. Chramiec passed away 27 January 2011 at the age of 81.  Mark participated in five Bermuda One-Twos (1985, 1987, 1989, 1991 and 1995) in his Freedom 33 Folly.

17 Jan - The Sleep Seminar by Dr. Claudio Stampi is officially now scheduled 9 April 0900-1700.  We have enough people to be able to put the seminar on.

10 Jan - Our second application and first new skipper has applied, Tim Allen on Greyhawk a Peterson 34.

4 Jan - EIGHT BELLS - I was just informed by his friend Al Bordman that Rusty Duym passed away Tuesday of a massive heart attack. Al new enough about Rusty and the Bermuda One-Two that Al looked me up so that I could pass the news along. Al will send me Rusty's obituary when it comes out but Al said that there will be a wake on Jan 15th at the funeral home at Blue Hill in Maine 2-4pm and a get together at a local restaurant afterwards.
Rusty has done the past two Bermuda One-Twos in his modified Cal 2-30 Williwaw. In his first race he tied for elapsed first place in Class 4 with Peter McCrea in the Single handed leg. He was second on elapsed time in 2009 in Class 4. Rusty was never able to do the doublehanded return leg due to work commitments. He was a valuable person in Bermuda with his black bag of tools. He helped many skippers repairing things. Rusty attended most Skippers' Forums/Parties, coming down from Maine, and was planning on racing this year. Rusty also had a desire to retire and take Williwaw around the world.
I know that I will miss Rusty.

30 Dec - The first skipper to apply for 2011 Bermuda One-Two is repeat skipper Gust Stringos on Bluebird.

9 Dec - I thought we would try to run the Sleep Seminar by Claudio Stampi, M.D., Ph.D, again.  We have been running this since 2005 and it has been well received each time.  Enclosed is more information about the seminar and Claudio Stampi.   We are absolutely limited to 15 people for this seminar so obviously first come first served.
If you are new to shorthanded sailing or would like to brush up on the latest thoughts on sleep for shorthanded racing, you might want to look into this seminar.
The preferred date is Saturday 9 April 2011 but another possible date is Sunday 17 April.  The maximum fee will be $260 but may be less.
I need to know if we will have enough interested people to be able to put on the seminar so please let me know asap if you want to  participate and which dates.  If I get enough people interested I will follow up with more details and the final price.

15 Nov - The Notice of Race and Application for the 2011 Bermuda One-Two has been posted on the left.

6 Nov - The November Skippers' Forum was held with about 50 people participating.  During introductions there were several potential new skippers including several mini skippers for 2011. Simon Day informed us that his mini Josephine recently burnt to the water line which leaves Simon without a boat and John Van Slyke mentioned that he is in the process of buying Robert Patenaude’s Perseverance a C&C 41.
Louis Meyer mentioned that a website www.406link.com refers to an interesting capability where 406 EPIRBs that have a test capability which goes through the satellite can cause a message to be sent out to email with a yearly fee based on how many emails sent out each time a test is performed. A good way to send out an “I’m OK” message. You might want to check it out.
Brian Flowers and Brian Kinsella of Life Raft and Survival Equipment gave a brief on the need to have the life rafts updated between Jan and March to avoid their busy time and guarantee getting your life raft serviced.  Also if one is going to rent a 4 person raft they should reserve it asap due to the limited number of 4 person rafts available.  LRSE puts on a survival training day long seminar and we will be trying to set up a day next year specifically for Bermuda One-Two Skippers depending on demand.  Many questions were asked by the skippers. We will also try to set up a First Aid course and Sleep Seminar next year.  Following LRSE we talked about the NOR changes being made and several recommendations were made to the skippers: do qualifier as early as possible if required, conduct shakedown cruise before the race to verify boats operability, call Safety Chair Ted Singsen to schedule safety check before arriving in Newport and when scheduled to do the Safety Check have all the items ready so the safety check person can run right through the items.
I learned that we will not have many Class 40s next year due to an Eastward Transatlantic race on June 26 but that we should have a good turnout of Open Class 6.5 Minis, maybe 8.
Food was provided by Caryn Cummings, Meagan Cabral and Pat Clayton.

14 Oct - George Pike 70 passed away today.  George has been supporting me since I started in 2001 and he ran this race several years back in the early 80s.  George was also involved in the BOC in the early days.

4 Oct - The October  newsletter is now posted in the Newsletter section.

1 Oct - Thanks to information from Michael Singer, Juan Perez and Murray Danforth the 1983 results have been updated.  My information was missing several boats.  Also a couple of articles were posted; one in The Royal Bermuda Gazett and an article by Stephen Callahan.

15 May - Bob Adams, past skipper in 1989 and 1991 on his J35 Julie, died this week in Rhode Island after fighting cancer for one year.  Bob was 70 years old.  He is survived by his Wife Julie, son Charlie and brother Gerard.  Bob was a dreamer and his Open 40 was his last dream.  He still wanted to see his boat race.  Bob built two boats in Russia with Yazkov to do the Around the world single handed race.  Bob's funding ran out and sailed his boat back to the US with only one dagger board however Yazkov found funding and did the 2000-2001 Vendee Globe Solo Around the World Race in Wind of Change, the sister ship to Bob's.  Bob's boat is currently in Wickford, RI.

27 Mar - Thanks to Betsy McClintock we have a slick brochure for the Bermuda One-Two as well as the other two races the Offshore 160 and the New England Solo/Twin.  I have them in glossy slick tri-fold if anyone is interested in posting them or mailing them (they are mail able with a blank spot for an address and a return address already printed).  Just let me know if you would like some and I'll ship them out to you.  Doesn't hurt to advertise our races.

20 Mar - We had the Spring Skippers' Forum today at the Newport Yacht Club.  22 people attended on a gorgeous spring weather day (didn't last long though).  Dave Sherman kicked off the meeting with the usual introductions.
Dave introduced John Alibrandi from First Responder who talked about a couple of medical kits as well as training.  We will be looking into the possibility of some kind of medical training.  Joe Cooper tried to generate a medical seminar in early 2009 but couldn't get the attendance.  We'll see.
Dave then introduced John K. Fulweiler, Esq. a maritime attorney who spoke about marine towing and salvage and what to possibly expect if one unfortunately runs into that situation.  I asked John if he could come back next year in the spring where we should have more skippers due to the proximity to the race in 2011.  For those not present or for those who want to learn more about the general maritime law, he has two blogs which he invites you to folow:  (1.) The Salty Barrister
(http://www.safesea.com/BlogRetrieve.aspx?BlogID=2938); and (2.) Legal Talk on the WorkBoat Magazine website (http://www.workboat.com/blogpost.aspx?id=4294989782). His full details and background are also available on LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/in/johnkfulweiler).
Dave Sherman has arranged to have Frank Bohlen do the Gulf Stream briefing again for us starting with his first briefing at the March 2011 Skippers' Forum.  Frank did a wonderful job for the 2009 race.
Several people mentioned that they plan on doing the 2011 Bermuda One-Two

18 Oct - The October newsletter is now posted in the Newsletter section.

22 Sept -  I have received approval from St. George's and the 2011 race will start to Bermuda on 3 June.

27 June - Awards party held at the Newport Yacht Club.  Go to Results to see the notes from the double handed leg as well as the results from the single handed and double handed  legs as well as combined.
